5 bedroom family home with spacious garden in Streatham, Wandsworth, 10 minutes walk from the mainline station
On arrival into the property, which sits on a picturesque street of 1930's style houses, a spacious hall with original corniced ceilings leads straight ahead to the eat-in kitchen at the rear and its adjacent play room/TV area. The kitchen is a light and airy space with sweeping wooden floors and modern facilities installed. There is a benched dining table which sits by the rear access to the garden, bathed in light from large patio doors, with space for up to ten guests. The adjacent, adjoining TV room has a wall-mounted plasma Television for guests to enjoy, as well as a play area with books, toys, music system and a foosball table. Both rooms have access to the back garden, which has a decked area for al fresco dining, as well as a large grassy lawn lined with trees and plants, with a children's trampoline.
There is a formal bay-windowed living area also on the ground floor which is tastefully decorated and has an impressive fireplace. Guests can relax or entertain in this comfortable space which has a sofa, armchairs as well as a flat-screen Television.
Just off the kitchen is a pantry, utility room with a handy downstairs WC.
You will find five bedrooms as well as two bathrooms, one of which has a free-standing bath whilst the other is fitted with a walk-in shower, to suit all tastes. As you reach the landing you will find a spacious child's room on the right with attractive decor and a small double bed. Due to the size of the room, we are able to set up a double air bed to sleep two further guests (on request). Immediately opposite this is an equally spacious bedroom with a king-sized bed, book shelves and ample storage space. Along the corridor is a third bedroom which doubles as a smart study area, with a double sofa bed and interesting collection of books — a great guest bedroom or quiet reading and working spot. The fourth bedroom is a minimalist and light room with a double bed and wardrobe.
The spacious fifth bedroom on the top floor has a comfy small double bed, children's toys and books, however we can also bring in a double air bed should you require one. There is also a modern shower room on the top floor, for convenience.
Home truths:
A cat lives here who can be relocated for longer stays. If you're happy for the cat to stay, it has independent access from the garden and can be fed by a cat sitter. We have a variety of temporary beds which can be provided to suit your needs; four extra guests can be accommodated on double air beds. Two of the beds are small doubles, which do can sleep two adults, but it might be snug, so perhaps better suited to one adult guest or children. The climbing frame (pictured) is no longer available.
Please note, Veeve homes are lived-in homes, which we think adds to their charm! Guests should, however, expect to find homeowner belongings and personal items within the property.
