This holiday house is quietly situated right by the forest. The house is detached and is on a large site between Lauscha and Steinach, each about 2km away.
The 50m² house for three people comprise a bedroom, a children’s bedroom, a bathroom and an open living and dining room with a kitchen. The first bedroom is furnished with a double bed (orthopaedic mattress), a large double-door solid wooden cupboard and a stereo system. The children’s bedroom has a raised bed suitable for children (ca. 80 x 200cm), two cupboards, three shelves and a playing are under the bed. In the hallway you can find a convection grill microwave, a wardrobe, a further cupboard and a fridge. The bathroom has underfloor heating, a washbasin, a corner shower and a WC. For self-catering, you can use the solid wood built-in kitchen with a stainless steel double sink, a four-flame gas stove with a cooker hood, an oven, a toaster, coffee machine, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. The living room provides a fireplace stove, a sofa and a TV armchair. The flatscreen TV (102cm) has satellite channels and music via the 4.1 stereo system.
There is a wood-fired outdoor sauna in front of the house, with a plunging pool fed with spring water, as well as an archery target, a granite table (2 x 1m), benches and chairs, as well as the fireplace for grilling and cooking.
The house was fully renovated in 2016, so everything is practically new. Note that if there is a lot of snow the house can only be accessed on foot (300 metres from the road).
In the area you can find shopping facilities, a natural forest pool 5km away and various restaurants (0.3 to 5km). The ski lift and summer luge are just 200 metres away. The Lauscha facility with virtual ski jumping is worth a visit (3km). Otherwise you can enjoy many sports activities and facilities such as mountain biking, hiking, climbing (Steinach), winter sports, ice skating rink, swimming pool, indoor pool, tennis, riding, disco, Nordic walking, cycling, downhill and cross-country skiing. There are many museums such as the glass-blowing workshops and museums in Lauscha, toy makers and museums in Sonneberg, porcelain manufacturing in Sitzendorf, the Heinrich-Geißler Museum and Heimatmuseum in Neuhaus, as well as the oldest wooden church there. You can visit the Morassina grotto in Schmiedefeld and the Fröbelturm with the world’s steepest funicular railway in Oberweißbach.
