A further 3 miles brings you to the traditional fishing harbour of Craster, renowned for its smoked kippers. Travelling a few miles north up the seashore is Seahouses where boat trips to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and grey seals at play is a popular visitor attraction. Alnwick Castle and Garden are also interesting to visit; the market town provides a wide array of amenities.
