With a mixture of striking concrete finishes and vintage style furnishings, this design apartment is a feast for the eyes! Space My bohemian apartment is bursting with character. It’s the ideal place to come back to after a day of exploring the UK´s capital. Great transport links mean you’ll be within easy reach of the centre but able to escape the hustle and bustle! Not to worry: Hostmaker have your back as they have mine, as a host. I have entrusted this successful team with my home, as they've proven their extensive experience in countless ways for myself and my lovely guests. Their innovative multi-channel platform makes everything from signing up to reporting maintenance issues a breeze, and they operate around the clock all year. Oh, have I also mentioned that they spread their wings to many other cities in the world? You're welcome! Neighborhood Hackney is famous for being a central London melting pot where high-end art and edgy innovation meet. Old fashioned east end pubs and houses and their inhabitants meet the vibrant, youthful culture of modern Hackney. Buoyed by different immigrant cultures and an influx of artists and creatives, Hackney exemplifies London of the 21st Century. For lovers of live theatre entertainment, the Hackney Empire is a bastion of live culture in the area and is well known for programming shows and act that reflect the diverse nature of the population in the borough. If you are up for a swim, then try the London Fields Lido; a heated olympic size outdoor pool that’s open all year round. For a little education and culture, try the Geffrye Museum with its focus on the history of Britain’s domestic interiors. Finally, if you are after a relaxing afternoon in a park, the London Fields may suffice, but there is far more space at nearby Victoria Park; the largest public park in east London. A trendy, bustling area of London where young professionals enjoy some of the best up-and-coming restaurants, coffee shops and bars in town. The Rosemary Branch is an award-winning pub that was once a Victorian music hall and is now a local favorite with a fringe theatre upstairs. Sweet Thursday is a terrific pizzeria in De Beauvoir Town, and Bavo, a great Mediterranean restaurant, is there for when you just don’t feel like cooking! For after-hours drinking and dancing, Pacific Social Club is a highlight in Hackney, though the area is filled with quirky late night clubs and bars around every corner. Between London Fields and Regents Canal lies Broadway Market, an alternative to Borough Market with organic meats, fish, oysters, fruit and veg and much more on offer! If shopping is your thing then Hackney is filled with small independent businesses and boutiques. Try the Black Truffle shoe shop or the Burberry Factory Shop for great savings on top fashion. Hackney is a short distance from Dalston and Hoxton, other vibrant areas in London heaving with fun things to do and explore. Transit Hackney Central is the nearest station to the apartment, just an eight-minute walk away. This connects you to the overground line, meaning you can get to iconic London sites in no time at all, such as Shoreditch and Liverpool Street. There are also plenty of buses just down the street that will take you all over the city. Gatwick airport is just over one hour away by public transport. Just take the overground from Hackney Central to Highbury and Islington and then change to the Victoria line to get to Victoria Station. You can then get a train straight to Gatwick airport from there. Other things to note: - Please note the flat is on the ground floor and there is no elevator in the property.
