Big wooden gates shut out the world, and a lane leads down to the old forge after which the mews is named. The garden of this flat is entered directly off this lane, so it's totally private.
The flat was recently renovated into an airy, sunny contemporary space with full-width glass doors that stack back to join the interiors seamlessly to the landscaped walled garden. A large skylight, through which a lofty Sycamore tree can be seen, floods the space with sun and light.
All areas have a view of the garden, and the stylish botanical interiors by a leading interior designer, with much use of bleached timber floors and large plants, bring nature inside. The apartment is furnished throughout with new, super-quality furniture and fittings from luxury brands such as Graham & Green, West Elm and Soho Home.
A down-filled velvet couch is a perfect spot to relax and watch a movie on the smart TV, and there's a mango wood table and two comfy chairs where you can work during the day (with high-speed fibre wifi) or eat your meals off exquisite gold rimmed organic porcelain crockery and gold cutlery.
The light and modern kitchen, with its toasty heated floor, features a lovely sitting area with two 'Daisy' wicker chairs looking into the garden, perfect for tea and scones. Fittings include an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, matching Scandi cappuccino machine, microwave, kettle and toaster, Le Creuset cookware and everything you could need. Each and every item is chosen with care by the designer.
The freshly furnished bedroom features a generous wardrobe, a queen-sized bed with an Emma mattress, a Hungarian goose down (or hypoallergenic) duvet and posturepedic pillows and crisp white linen. The all-white bathroom has a shower, basin, toilet and a utility area with a washer/dryer, drying rack, iron and ironing board.
The garden has seating for four and, if you want to invite guests for dinner, the table and two chairs can be brought inside to extend your dining space. There's also a retractable wash line and a shed to store the cushions.

There's a cosy pub with a great Thai restaurant very close by, and a friendly convenience store. It's well connected too: at the bottom of the road is the bus stop for the 94 bus that takes you to Notting Hill, Oxford Street and Piccadilly. There are also 4 tube stations in the near vicinity, some great coffee shops, the extensive shopping experience of Westfield and the biggest and best Soho House with a rooftop pool, bars, restaurants and a luxury cinema.
