Esmond Road II’s uniqueness starts at its entrance. The hosts like to travel, and have decorated the light, open-plan living area with their souvenirs. The sitting room is hung with pop art, the kitchen has Emma Bridgewater tea sets, and a carved Indian doorway is striking against the dining room’s black feature wall. Through the broad glass doors there’s a patio garden, and the utility room (and bike shed) are just beyond.
A staircase to the left of the living area leads to the first floor. There’s a crimson TV room, lined with books, on the left, and both the twin bedroom and the third bedroom – with its double bed and Indian wall hangings – are further along this corridor.
