My gorgeous 2 bedroom apartment, in the vibrant area of Shepherd’s Bush, 5min tube ride to Portobello Rd, is a stylish & comfortable place to stay with terrific transport links. Just a 6 minute walk to the nearest tube. Beautifully decorated & with a private garden, this is a lovely base when staying in London. Explore the neighbourhood and enjoy this bustling part of the city. I hope you enjoy your stay! The space My stylish 2 bedroom apartment is the perfect base when visiting London. Conveniently located in the exciting area of Shepherd’s Bush and with great transport links, you’ll be right in the hub of the city but able to escape the hustle and bustle! On the ground floor, the property has its own private entrance. The open-plan kitchen, living and dining area is light and airy with a beautiful, rustic design and lovely finishing touches. There are painted wooden floors throughout and fantastic pieces of furniture that lend the property splashes of colour and character. Relax on the sofa, hang out, make yourself at home! It’s a welcoming and inviting space where you can kick back. If cooking is your thing, you’re going to love spending time in the stylish kitchen. All the appliances are modern and easy to use - you’ll enjoy showing off your culinary skills here! There are two double bedrooms with a super comfortable beds and, with fresh luxury linens, what more do you need for a good night’s sleep? You don’t have to live out of your suitcase; plenty of storage room means you can get unpacking and start feeling at home right away. The bedrooms are chic and elegantly decorated, making them a relaxing place to get some sleep. The first, at the front of the house, gets lots of natural light from the bay windows and the wrought iron bed fits in with the charming decor. The second benefits from the peace and quiet at the back of the property and the window looks out onto the garden. Freshen up in the lovely bathroom and wake up in the mornings with the fantastic shower. White fluffy towels, shampoo, shower gel and hand soaps are provided! There’s even a desk area if you need to get some work done in the hallway annex. My property will be professionally cleaned before your stay. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property and the garden. Interaction with guests My friends at Hostmaker are looking after my home while I am away; they are a short stay management service team who know London like the back of their hand! Other things to note Currently the fridge is out of order, we have a chiller in place at the moment. The oven is also out of order. Please note the flat is on the ground floor and there is no elevator in the property Location You are just next-door to the fun area of Notting Hill (5 mins on tube, 25 min walk). Notting Hill is one of London’s most exciting and vibrant areas! Packed full of restaurants and fashionable shops and home to the famous Portobello Market, you’re unlikely to get bored in this neighbourhood. Let’s start with restaurants...There are so many great places to eat around here and more opening all the time. For brilliant brunch, you can’t go wrong with Egg Break. They focus, unsurprisingly, on eggs! Great food with a fun atmosphere. Expect to queue at Granger & Co - this place is very popular with locals. They do a fantastic brunch but don’t disappoint at lunch or dinner either. The Ledbury is an unusual combination of being both a friendly neighbourhood restaurant and the proud holders of a Michelin star. The staff aren’t stuffy and the food isn’t pretentious, but you definitely will need to book well in advance. Fans of Mexican food should head to Santo - they have every kind of tequila you could possibly want, authentic food, and a lively vibe as the night goes on! The Shed is a modern British restaurant where the plates are small but delicious. All the food is seasonal and the dishes creative; it has become a local favourite. Notting Hill has no shortage of pubs. The Churchill Arms is probably the prettiest of them all. Worth checking out even just to Instagram it’s beautiful facade! The Mall Tavern has a traditional English vibe to it; the wooden floorboards are original. Try some ales or work your way through their classic menu - the food is very good. For a pub with a good garden, The Windsor Castle is the place to go. A short walk into Notting Hill and you can relax with some pimms in the buzzing outdoor area. The wooden bar and tiny doorways will make you feel like you’ve gone back in time! Very popular and always has a lively atmosphere. On the weekends Portobello Market is not to be missed. You can spend the day discovering vintage clothes and food stalls - a real buzzy atmosphere. Shepherd’s Bush is a really exciting area of London - it has so much character with plenty to explore. Go and see a band at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, have a picnic on the green, maybe do some shopping at the huge Westfield centre - one thing’s for sure, you won’t find yourself at a loose end… Fancy eating like a Londoner? Kerbisher & Malt is a popular local fish n’ chip restaurant where you can eat in or take away. Traditional British food done properly! The Eagle is a popular pub with a lively atmosphere and a large garden where you can enjoy a jug of Pimms in the summer, or sit by the log fire in the colder months. A lovely place to enjoy an English ale. The food is good too. The Shepherd’s Bush Market, open Monday to Saturday (9am-6pm), is vibrant and bustling. With everything from falafels to dumplings, fabrics to scarves, and fresh fruit and vegetables, this traditional local market is definitely worth exploring. Shepherds Bush Westfield has loads of favourites and loads of choice - Jamie's Italian / Wahacca / Nandos / Carluccio's / Yo! This connects you to the Central Line which gets you to Oxford Circus in 14 minutes, Bond Street in 13 and trendy Notting Hill in just 6 minutes! Exploring London could hardly be easier.
