Pay a visit to the Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park (8 miles) to wander through 45 acres of thick woodlands filled with fascinating sculptures and an impressive rhododendron collection. Or, for a spot of history, head to Richmond Castle (12 miles) to admire the fantastic views from its cliff-top location above the River Swale which is known as the best-preserved early Norman castle in England.
